As you might have guessed, I’m a twenty-something. I’m young, idealistic, and ready to take on the world, one step at a time. My first area of conquest is my lifestyle. Being thoroughly fed up with the consumerism found in our culture today, I’m trying to get back to basics–debranding my life, balancing age-old wisdom with modern understanding, and living compassionately toward others, our planet, and myself (because, yes, I do deserve eight hours of sleep a night). In hopes that there are others out there like me–and I know there are, because I’ve stumbled across their blogs–I’m putting my experience out here as a resource for others. I hope my notes prove useful.

Topics you can expect to see here:

  • Diet/Nutrition (specifically vegetarian)
  • Alternative Toiletries
  • Cutting Consumption (especially plastic!)
  • Cooking/Baking/Recipes
  • Crafty Endeavors
  • Etsy Love (aka, what I would buy if I was not a poor college student)
  • What I’m Reading
  • and the occasional Life Lesson

And eventually, when I have new travels to post about, you can mosey on over to travels of a twenty-something, where things should get pretty exciting around February of ‘09, when I take off for Scotland. There might also be some retrospectives as I get more pictures scanned into the computer… fun times, right?

ps–the header picture is a sunrise in New Mexico, somewhere between Santa Rosa and the White Sands National Monument, taken in August of 2007.
